Main Responsibilities / Duties:

Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards

Oversee the design, specification, and procurement of critical electrical equipment, ensuring all project specifications and standards are met

Capable of identifying potential design changes that could lead to significant cost and time savings, ensuring these insights are communicated and considered

Build strong Client relations to ensure expectations are met
-
Management of workload and budgets across designated work scopes to ensure targets are achieved
-
Utilize extensive experience to guide and mentor other members of the electrical engineering team
-
Provide technical training and promotes the implementation of lessons learned and value engineering to optimize project outcomes
-
Perform quality checks on deliverables prepared by junior engineers, ensuring adherence to project standards and procedures
-
Understand, review and comment on process design data to ensure appropriate equipment specification and selection
-
Develop electrical deliverables e.g. single line diagrams, schematic & wiring diagrams, calculations, specifications and datasheets
-
Prepare RFI & RFQ packages for the Electrical packages to the required clients and company procedures and standards

Review of Vendor documentation requirements for use and integration within project
-
Review Suppliers quotations and prepare technical quotation evaluation
Skills / Qualifications
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering with
more than 15 years of experience
of Electrical System Engineering and Design in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical /
Power Plant
/ Pharmaceutical Plant Projects
-
Proven track record of working on large-scale EPC projects related to
power plants
-
Knowledge of electrical power systems, international codes & standards and Industry accepted electrical engineering software, experience in Aveva
-
Extensive hands-on experience in power generation, distribution systems, substation design, protection & control systems, and commissioning activities in power plants
-
Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
-
Possess good interpersonal skills with good written and spoken in English

Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to succeed
-
Experience of Vendor co-ordination meetings and supporting engineering design reviews
-
Flexible attitude with proven experience of effective working in a project team environment
-
Computer literate with common software packages such as Microsoft Office
