Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of software projects, ensuring that development efforts align with business objectives, are completed on time, and meet quality standards. The role involves managing the delivery process, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient execution of projects. A Software Delivery Lead plays a key role in managing risks, maintaining timelines, and ensuring that the project meets the client's expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

1. Lead and mentor a team of database engineers, providing technical guidance, support and weekly scheduling of tasks.

2. Lead projects from initiation to completion, managing project scope, timelines, and resources effectively.

3. Promote the growth and development of engineers.

4. Perform regular code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards. 5. Lead technical proof-of-concepts (POCs).

Database Design, Development and Delivery:

1. Lead the design and architecture of database solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, quality and reliability across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite and Oracle platforms. 2. Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

3. Evaluate and recommend database tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance database administration processes and efficiency.

4. Identify and resolve complex issues to ensure optimal performance and availability. Requirement gathering:

Quality Assurance and Testing:

1. Review test cases, addressing reported bugs from QA and production.

2. Maintain low defect density and actively fix quality-related issues.
