Principal Engineer - ITS

• ead the design, specification, and integration of ITS central systems such as ATMS, central traffic control, tunnel control/ SCADA, and regional command centres. P
• rovide technical authority on central system architecture, data exchange frameworks, cyber security, and IT infrastructure requirements. O
• versee the development of functional requirements, system design documents, and interface specifications for ITS central systems. C
• ollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, ICT, systems engineering) to ensure seamless integration of field ITS devices with central platforms. C
• onduct system-level feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technology evaluations, shaping the strategic direction of projects. P
• rovide leadership in control centre design (room layouts, operator ergonomics, server/network requirements, SCADA, and system redundancies). E
• ngage with clients, authorities, and technology vendors to ensure alignment with international best practice and regional authority requirements. M
• entor and guide junior engineers, helping to build a strong pipeline of future ITS systems specialists. S
• tay ahead of global advancements in ITS, ICT, and control centre technologies, bringing innovative solutions into WSP projects.

• degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Engineering or IT-related discipline. 1
• 0+ years of experience in ITS central systems design, ideally with exposure to ATMSs, central traffic management systems, and large-scale control centre projects. S
• trong technical expertise in network architecture, databases, cyber security, SCADA systems, and ITS central software platforms. P
• roven ability to develop functional specifications, interface control documents, and system integration plans. D
• emonstrated experience in control centre design (operator consoles, video walls, IT/server infrastructure). E
• xcellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. A
• track record of mentoring and technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams. S
• trong awareness of international ITS standards and best practices (e.g., AASHTO, EN, NFPA 502). B
