Principal Engineer - Microsegmentation

As a Principal Engineer – Microsegmentation, you will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise segmentation technologies. You will be the technical authority for Microsegmentation and the Guardicore platform, supporting new plans, architecture evolution, deployment, and long-term operational stability across a global environment.

You will report to the Supervisor of Network Segmentation and be located at Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid role with two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the primary technical resource and subject matter expert for Microsegmentation and the Guardicore platform
Provide technical ownership and architectural guidance for Microsegmentation strategy, standards, and best practices
Assist and guide the global team in the implementation and support of firewall and segmentation technologies

Manage small to medium sized projects.
Responsible for incidents or tasks assigned through our operational queues.
Help with the response to priority incidents and primary accountability for Microsegmentation priority incidents.
Resolve complex issues, including collaboration with other teams or teammates.
Operate in an on-call rotation specifically in the segmentation (firewall/Microsegmentation) area
Identify opportunities for and help implement automation
Ensure documentation is up to date and that all required documentation for policies, and compliance exist within area of accountability
Perform any other related tasks prioritized by the Network Services Manager or Segmentation Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization
High level of understanding in the network, Microsegmentation and firewall fields
Experience in project managing small to mid-sized projects
5+ years' experience hands-on support and troubleshooting of firewalls or networks
Proficient in Guardicore, Palo Alto, Panorama, Python, SolarWinds network configuration manager (NCM), Azure
Experience with Microsegmentation

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
