Job Purpose

Provide deep and broad industry experience to lead development and execution of Engineering Equipment Reliability (ER) processes and sub processes in accordance with industry best practices and Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) requirements to ensure that the Nawah is aligned with INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability Process; provide support to the oversight, governance, and support of Nawah ER Processes; and lead execution of Nawah monitoring and diagnostic (M&D) center activities. Lead the development and implementation of the Maintenance Rule Program, Single Point of Vulnerability (SPV) program, PM support to the maintenance function, management of Master Equipment Data, and engineering performance indicators at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

Equipment Reliability
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Lead development, implementation, and execution of Engineering Equipment Reliability (ER) process, consistent with INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability Process, FSAR requirements and Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) expectations, to maintain high levels of safe and reliable plant operation in an efficient manner.Incorporate lessons learned from reference plant i.e.Shin Kori 3 and 4 and industry best practices.
  • Provide deep technical knowledge and highly-experienced support for the development of programs such as Functional Importance Determination (FID), Functional Equipment Group (FEG), Preventive Maintenance (PM) Templates, PM Basis, Single Point Vulnerability (SPV), System Health Monitoring, System Health Evaluation, Plant Health Committee (PHC), Plant Top Ten ER related issues, and Equipment Reliability Index (ERI).
  • Lead identification and management of the engineering fields of master data, programs and procedures required to implement ER process.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and collaboration with other ER departments, i.e., Operations, Maintenance and Work Management to ensure a well aligned approach to ER.
  • Lead identification of software tools required to implement ER process and ensure the database required to support software applications are adequately populated to enable ER analysis and performance tracking.
  • Lead development and execution of the ER Index (ERI) to measure the health of key plant programs and processes that must perform effectively to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Lead development and implementation of Nawah's M&D center to ensure it provides a useful leading practice capability for centralized data gathering and analysis.
  • Lead development and implementation of Nawah's Master Equipment Data (creation/modification/deletion of master data) to ensure database is accurate.

Preventative Maintenance Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation and execution of the Maintenance Rule program to ensure it adheres to the applicable standards and guidelines and provides the desired benefits.Maintenance Rule program elements include:
 Maintenance rule scoping.
 Maintenance Rule Safety Significance Determination.
 Maintenance Rule Establishment of Performance Criteria.
 Maintenance Rule Performance Monitoring.
 Periodic Assessment.
 Maintenance Rule Expert Panel Meetings.
  • Lead support to the Maintenance function in developing the PM program such as:
 Functional Importance Determination (FID).
 Single Point Vulnerabilities (SPV).
 SPV-Reliability Improvement Plans.
 Functional Equipment Group (FEG).
 Preventive Maintenance (PM) Templates.
 PM Basis.
  • Lead the development, implementation and management of the SPV program including development of elimination, mitigation, and bridging strategies, to identify, monitor, and protect against risks associated with SPVs.
  • Lead the development and management of engineering performance indicators as an input to station performance indicators.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)
  • Validate updates to the equipment master database (creation/modification/deletion of equipment master information) to ensure database is accurate and relevant, including:
 Review of documents prepared by the maintenance team or the system engineering team.
 File equipment master in Operating Management System (OMS).
 Monitor notification to the maintenance team of the results of equipment master changes.
 Conduct periodic adequacy checks of station equipment master and issue of notification to improve operation for inadequate items.
 Validate reflection of SPV equipment.
 Review of station equipment master and changes in function location at periodic interval.

Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Participate in training to equip necessary technical knowledge and skills
  • Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance to enhance staff training and qualification program.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

Qualifications
Minimum
  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma (or Equivalent) Degree in Engineering or related Science.
  • 8 years of relevant experience, out of which:
  • 1 year of Nuclear Power Plant engineering experience.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
