About the Role

As a Principal Product Manager for LendingClub’s Auto business, you will lead an empowered, cross-functional team to deliver meaningful value for our members while driving the strategic and financial outcomes of the Auto portfolio. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, data, credit, risk, operations, compliance, and marketing, as well as the Auto Business Leader, who serves as the GM for the business.

Together, you’ll help advance LendingClub’s mission to help members keep more of what they earn and improve their financial health.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Member Insights

  • Define a clear product vision, strategy, and outcomes for your domain

  • Use data, research, and experimentation to deeply understand member needs, pain points, and opportunities across the Auto journey

  • Build and maintain a roadmap aligned to Auto business priorities and LendingClub’s financial and operational goals

  • Establish success metrics, track performance, and iterate based on results

Planning & Requirements

  • Translate member and business needs into clear problem statements, PRDs, and acceptance criteria

  • Partner closely with engineering to shape delivery plans and sequencing

  • Ensure product requirements reflect LendingClub’s credit, risk, compliance, and operational standards

  • Align early and often with teams that support member experience and servicing

Delivery & Execution

  • Own backlog prioritization and support sprint planning to keep teams focused on the highest-impact work

  • Manage cross-team dependencies, surface risks, and drive resolution

  • Keep stakeholders aligned on scope, timelines, and expected member value

  • Maintain a strong connection between delivery decisions and intended outcomes

Launch & Readiness

  • Define launch goals, readiness criteria, and success measures

  • Coordinate cross-functional enablement across operations, servicing, risk, and marketing to ensure a seamless member experience

  • Monitor post-launch performance and guide follow-up improvements

Business Alignment & Communication

  • Partner with the Auto Business Leader on prioritization, tradeoffs, business cases, and performance impact

  • Communicate progress, risks, outcomes, and member value across LendingClub

  • Represent your product area in business reviews, planning cycles, and executive forums

About You

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional products

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience

  • Member-first, grounding decisions in member needs, experience, and financial health

  • Outcome-driven, measuring success by impact rather than output

  • Discovery-led, validating assumptions early and using evidence to guide direction

  • Cross-functional, with the ability to align teams across credit, risk, operations, and compliance

  • Responsible and compliant, designing products with regulatory and operational rigor in mind

  • Business-minded, connecting product decisions to Auto portfolio performance and LendingClub’s mission
