Principal Software Engineer - AI/ML

The OCI Developer Platform is the backbone of internal and external engineering on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, delivering CI/CD, tooling, automation and platform services at massive scale. We are evolving toward a modern, more efficient organization leveraging AI.

We are looking for a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design and implementation of AI capabilities across the OCI Developer Platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can operate independently, think from first principles, and build scalable AI systems from scratch in a hyperscale cloud environment.

You will identify high-impact AI opportunities, architect platform-grade solutions, and drive them from prototype to production. This role requires strong ownership, architectural depth, and the ability to influence across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and drive the AI strategy for the OCI Developer Platform.
• Identify high-leverage AI use cases that improve developer productivity, platform intelligence, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Architect and build scalable AI/ML systems that operate reliably in large-scale cloud environments.
• Design AI-driven developer experiences (code intelligence, automation agents, platform insights, intelligent diagnostics, etc.).Lead end-to-end development: data pipelines, model development, evaluation frameworks, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with product, security, and infrastructure teams to align AI initiatives with platform roadmap and compliance requirements.Prototype rapidly, validate impact, and productize with enterprise-grade reliability and security.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
