Principal Software Engineer - .Net Core

About The Role

TekHQS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Developer with deep expertise in .NET Core to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems . The role involves building APIs, microservices, and enterprise-grade solutions , integrating with external services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and background services using .NET Core.
• Architect and optimize SQL Server databases, including schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Implement secure API layers, including authentication, authorization, and data validation.
• Collaborate with Front-End, Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and performant features.
• Integrate backend systems with payment gateways, banking services, and third-party APIs.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to long-term backend strategy.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD processes.
• Work with DevOps for Azure cloud deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• .NET Core / C# REST APIs, microservices, background services
• SQL Server schema design, stored procedures, query optimization
• Azure Cloud App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, CI/CD pipelines
  
• Deep understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and enterprise system design.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with payment processing, ACH/Wire, ISO 20022 standards.
• Exposure to banking or fintech platforms.
• Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
• Experience integrating AI solutions or using AI-assisted development tools.
