Role Summary
We are looking for a
Principal Test Automation Engineer (Playwright specialist)
to lead the design and implementation of scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality delivery across web applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of a
Playwright-based automation framework
from scratch or enhance existing frameworks.

Build and maintain
UI, API, and end-to-end test automation suites
.

Define automation strategy, standards, and best practices across teams.

Integrate automated tests into
CI/CD pipelines
for continuous testing.

Improve test coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.

Drive
shift-left testing practices
within Agile teams.

Perform root cause analysis for automation failures and production defects.
-
Mentor QA engineers and contribute to technical upskilling.

Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams.
Technical Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with
Playwright (must-have)

8+ years in
test automation / QA engineering

Strong programming skills in
TypeScript / JavaScript (preferred)
or Python/Java

Experience with
API testing
(Postman, REST APIs, or similar)

Strong knowledge of
CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

Experience building
automation frameworks from scratch

Understanding of
web application architecture and microservices

Strong knowledge of
Git and version control workflows

Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
