Position Overview
We are looking for a versatile
Principal Engineer (Electrical)
to support the local CTO in Riyadh and strengthen our technical capability across the Middle East and North Africa region. This role requires broad electrical product knowledge, strong market and product understanding, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. You will lead product lifecycle activities, analyze customer and market needs, guide technical solution design, and ensure product performance and compliance for regional applications. This is an expat contract position for candidates who can operate effectively in a fast-growing, multicultural environment and serve as a key technical partner to business and R&D teams.
Job Description:

Focus on the full range of electrical products, including high/medium/low voltage circuit breakers (e.g. LBS, ACB, MCCB), switchgear (e.g. RMU, unit sub-station, low-voltage panel), residual current protection devices, ATS, EV chargers, contactors, energy meter, power quality products (e.g. capacitors, SVG, APF), inverters, photovoltaic & energy storage products and so on. Lead product lifecycle management, overseeing the entire process from market demand research and product planning to iterative optimization.

Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to build cross-departmental communication bridges. Provide professional electrical technical support, participate in product promotion, customer training, and technical consultation, ensuring an efficient closed loop for product implementation and market feedback. Proactively join sales and marketing teams in visiting key local customers, communicate face-to-face to clarify requirements, accurately address explicit customer needs and identify implicit needs.

Dive deep into core application fields such as power systems, industrial sectors, construction, and data centers. Analyze industry trends and customer pain points, develop targeted product solutions, drive product technological innovation and functional upgrades, and enhance the core competitiveness of products in overseas markets.

Track global electrical industry standards, regulations, and technological trends. Optimize product design specifications and technical parameters in line with the localization needs of overseas markets to ensure product compliance and adaptability.

Lead the compilation and update of product technical documents, including product manuals, electrical schematic explanations, and intelligent function guides, to empower internal teams and external customers.

Take charge of after-sales technical support. Connect with local after-sales teams and customers, respond quickly to after-sales issues (such as product fault diagnosis and technical query resolution), and provide professional solutions. Analyze after-sales issue data, summarize common problems, and drive product design optimization and quality improvement, reducing the incidence of after-sales issues.

Expand external cooperation channels. Proactively engage with government authorities, industry committees, professional consulting firms, and universities in local markets to explore opportunities for technical cooperation, project collaboration, and market promotion. Enhance the brand's industry influence and reputation in overseas markets through joint R&D, participation in industry events, and technical exchanges.
Major responsibilities:

Lead market demand analysis and competitor research, accurately identify the differentiated advantages of products, and propose product function planning, technical improvement, and innovation directions. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on customer visits to deeply explore customer needs, lead the design of overall solutions based on customer requirements and new product development projects, and be responsible for the progress, quality, and market adaptability of new product development.

Lead technical reviews during the product R&D process. Control key links such as electrical schematic design and intelligent function implementation to ensure the technical feasibility and stability of products.

Deeply explore product application scenarios in local markets. Optimize product adaptation solutions based on the industry characteristics of different regions and solve technical problems in the actual application of customers. Oversee the overall after-sales technical support work, establish a rapid response and resolution mechanism for after-sales issues, and improve customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop product promotion strategies, provide professional technical support, and enhance customer recognition and satisfaction with products.

Track industry technological development trends and competitor dynamics, regularly issue product analysis reports, and provide data support for the company's product strategy adjustments. Be responsible for the expansion and maintenance of local cooperation channels. Promote the implementation of cooperation projects through channels such as government authorities, committees, consulting firms, and universities to expand the brand's overseas influence.
Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power Electronics, or related majors.

Work Experience: At least 7 years of work experience in electrical products. Priority will be given to candidates with R&D, design, or product management experience in any one or more product series such as circuit breakers, switchgear, EV chargers, energy storage products, or power quality products. Priority will also be given to candidates with experience in cross-departmental collaboration (especially with sales/marketing teams) for customer demand exploration, solution design, and new product development.

Profound understanding of the specific application scenarios and industry needs of electrical products in core fields such as power systems, industry, construction, and data centers.

Proficiency in interpreting and designing electrical schematics, and in-depth understanding of the core working principles of high/medium/low voltage electrical products.

Mastery of the basic working principles and technical implementation methods of intelligent electrical products (such as smart breakers, RTU, FTU, SVG, smart RMU, ALBS and PV energy storage systems).

Familiarity with international and target market electrical industry standards and regulations (such as IEC, UL), and ability to conduct product compliance design and review.

Ability to design overall product solutions based on customer needs, and to quickly analyze and solve technical issues in product after-sales support.
