Print Shop Manager

Duties

The Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including actively searching for and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role includes developing and implementing marketing and advertising strategies to promote the company’s services and support company growth.

The Manager will be expected to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and industry contacts. This includes networking, client outreach, and ongoing relationship management to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Key duties include:

• Identifying and pursuing RFP opportunities
• Managing proposal development and submissions
• Overseeing marketing and advertising efforts
• Actively seeking new business opportunities
• Maintaining and growing relationships with current clients
• Developing relationships with new clients and partners
• Representing the company at industry events and networking opportunities

Oversee daily operations of the print shop, managing workflow for screen printing, CNC machining, flexo presses, and other manufacturing processes used by the company

• Coordinate prepress activities including layout design, typography, color management, and proofing to ensure accurate reproduction of client artwork
• Supervise and train staff in technical skills such as graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite, quality control procedures, and equipment maintenance
• Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to guarantee consistency and excellence across all printed materials
• Manage inventory levels for printing supplies and raw materials, ensuring timely procurement and minimal downtime
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and oversee troubleshooting or repairs for machinery including CNC machines, flexo presses, and machining tools. The manager will have an understanding of operations of all equipment and assist in facilitating production
• Uphold safety standards by enforcing proper use of forklifts and other heavy machinery while maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in print production environments with expertise in screen printing, flexo press operation, CNC machining or related manufacturing processes
• Strong knowledge of prepress techniques including layout design, typography, color management, and Adobe Creative Suite tools
• Familiarity with quality control procedures to ensure high standards in print advertising and other media outputs
• Ability to operate or oversee operation of heavy machinery such as CNC equipment and forklifts; certification preferred
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced production setting
• Knowledge of print industry standards including safety regulations and equipment maintenance practices
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precision in all aspects of print production

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
