Position Summary
The Print Solutions Specialist is a hybrid customer service and print production role responsible for delivering high-quality print solutions while supporting the daily operations of the store. This individual serves as the in-store print expert, managing both small and wide-format print production, troubleshooting customer files, assisting with light design edits, and helping customers identify the best print solutions for their needs.
This role combines technical print expertise with exceptional customer service and consultative sales skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, maintains strong attention to detail, and takes ownership of print quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain small-format and wide-format production equipment
- Produce high-quality print jobs while meeting production deadlines
- Troubleshoot print files, formatting issues, bleed/margin setup, resolution problems, and color inconsistencies
- Perform light artwork edits and customer file preparation
- Manage print queues and prioritize jobs based on turnaround commitments
- Ensure accurate finishing, cutting, laminating, binding, folding, mounting, and packaging of completed jobs
- Maintain print quality standards and reduce production waste/errors
- Coordinate with vendors for outsourced print work when necessary
- Monitor production supplies and communicate inventory needs proactively
- Assist customers at the counter with shipping, printing, mailbox, and retail transactions
- Answer phones and assist customers with order inquiries and print consultations
- Recommend print products and upsell appropriate finishing or premium options
- Support Amazon returns, packaging, shipping transactions, and general retail operations when needed
- Assist in training team members on print production workflows and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with commercial or retail print equipment
- Experience operating both small-format and wide-format print equipment
- Strong understanding of print production workflows and finishing processes
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and Fiery/RIP workflow systems
- Ability to troubleshoot customer artwork and print production issues
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

Schedule Expectations
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
