Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Auxiliary Services provides a variety of services and products in a convenient and customer-oriented manner to enhance the quality of campus life for student, faculty, staff, and visitors. These services include: Armored Car, Carolina Dining Services, Carolina Managed Print Services, Laundry, PID Office, Print Stop Printing, Student Store, UNC One Card Office, University Mail Services, and Vending. The Print Stop & Copy Center offers walk-up, as well as online submission of printing and copying services to faculty, staff, and students. Services include B&W and color copies, posters, banners, lamination, and other related products as well as larger printing projects. It is also the official provider of UNC business cards, letterhead, and envelopes to the campus community.
Position Summary
The Print Stop Production Assistant supports the production management staff in a dynamic, customer service oriented production environment at the Print Stop & Copy Center.
Responsibilities include print preparation and finishing operations, assessing materials for production, completing production requests, providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and ensuring professional communication through email, phone, and in person interactions.
Additionally, the position assists with various aspects of packaging, billing, and deliveries.
- A valid NC Driver’s License is required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including remaining in a stationary position for extended periods; reaching overhead; accessing low shelves; handling reams and cases of paper; loading and unloading printers; and routinely moving print materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
