Role: PCB Designer
Client: Defense-Aerospace
Hourly Rate: up to $47/hr W2, non-benefited
Length: Long-term
Location: Bloomington, MN
Clearance: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Description:
- 
You will perform detailed layout design and documentation of printed circuit boards under direction from a team of electrical and mechanical engineers
- 
You will work from schematics, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by the team of electrical and mechanical engineers
- 
You will use the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset, including Layout, Valor, DRC Hazard Checker, Constraint Editor/Constraint Manager (CES), Drawing Editor, and other related tools
- 
You will create electronic library symbols, geometry, footprints, etc
- 
You will run Valor and DRC Hazard checks to ensure your work is error-free and the design will meet expectations
- 
You will check drawings against the project inputs for correctness and conformance to standard engineering drafting practices and standards
Required Skills:
- 
Extensive experience designing HDI and high-speed PCB layouts.
- 
Strong understanding of MIL and IPC standards.
- 
Proficiency with Siemens/Mentor Graphics design suite (Xpedition, Valor, CES, Drawing Editor).
- 
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- 
Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.Strong sense of ownership and accountability in delivering high-quality designs.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
