Job Title: Printer EngineerJob Summary
A Printer Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing printers and related imaging equipment. The role involves diagnosing hardware and software issues, ensuring optimal printer performance, and providing technical support to customers or internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure printers (laser, inkjet, thermal, multifunction devices, network printers).
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing.
- Diagnose and repair hardware faults (print heads, rollers, fusers, cartridges, motherboards).
- Troubleshoot software, driver, and network connectivity issues.
- Replace defective components and perform firmware updates.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support.
- Maintain service logs and documentation of repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Assist in printer network setup and integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in printer repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of printer hardware components and networking basics.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with major brands such as HP, Canon, Epson, or Brother Industries.
- Certification in hardware/network support (e.g., CompTIA A+).
- Experience with managed print services (MPS).
Work Environment
- Office, workshop, or client-site based.
- May require travel for on-site service.
- Occasional lifting of heavy equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
