Valley Professionals Community Health Center is seeking a Prior Authorization Coordinator for our Clinton location.

Job duties:

The Prior Authorization Coordinator is a vital role here at VPCHC, responsible for facilitating and managing the prior authorization process for medical procedures, treatments, medications, and services. The Prior Authorization Coordinator collaborates with VPCHC medical professionals, insurance companies, patients, and administrative staff to navigate the complex authorization process efficiently and effectively. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that patients receive the necessary approvals from insurance companies or relevant third-party payers before undergoing specific healthcare services.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare procedures.
  • Previous experience in a medical office.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
