Trustpoint.One is partnering with a prestigious international private banking institution to identify an experienced finance attorney for a unique remote secondment opportunity supporting its U.S. Private Credit Legal team.

Private Banking Credit Counsel – Legal Secondment

Start Date: August 2026 | Duration: Approximately 3 months with potential extension | Location: 100% Remote

This engagement is ideal for a mid-to-senior level attorney with strong secured lending experience who is interested in gaining sophisticated in-house exposure within a globally recognized financial institution.

Position Overview

The selected attorney will support legal matters related to customized lending solutions for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and private investment structures. Transactions involve a broad range of collateralized credit products, including:

  • Investment and brokerage accounts
  • Fine art collections and luxury assets
  • Interests in private investment vehicles
  • Commercial and residential real estate holdings

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate loan and collateral documentation, including credit agreements, guaranties, pledge agreements, and ancillary lending documents
  • Advise internal business and credit stakeholders on transaction structuring, enforceability, and legal risk considerations
  • Analyze borrower structures involving trusts, estates, LLCs, partnerships, and related entities
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and review supporting legal opinions and diligence materials
  • Support a fast-moving pipeline of sophisticated private banking transactions

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership
  • At least 5 years of experience handling lending and finance transactions in either a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong experience with contract drafting, issue spotting, and transactional document review
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with an elite private banking platform and gain hands-on experience with complex credit products serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients — all within a fully remote setting.

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations

  • This is a high-volume screen-based role, requiring constant, prolonged computer usage, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, managing visual content, and attending virtual meetings
  • Visual acuity required for computer use, data analysis, and extended reading
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 30 pounds
