We are a busy, close-knit family seeking a warm, reliable, and highly organized home cook to become an extension of our family. This role is about more than preparing meals — it’s about creating rhythm, nourishment, and calm in our home. We value someone who treats our kitchen with care and respect, as the heart of our family life.

Schedule

• Weekday mornings starting at 6:30 AM
• Option for split shift (morning + evening dinner service)
• Occasional support for small gatherings
• Flexible structure for the right person

Responsibilities

Morning Routine:

• Prepare breakfast for children
• Pack school lunches and fill water bottles
• Ensure backpacks are ready
• Prepare breakfast and lunch for mom
• Begin dinner prep with clear reheating instructions if not returning in the evening

Dinner & Family Meals:

• Prepare family dinners
• Occasionally cook for in-laws or small gatherings
• Help with birthday treats, classroom snacks, and special family moments

Flexibility is especially important. Some evenings may require preparing different meals at the same time. Our children can be picky and may want simple comfort foods. My husband is currently facing health challenges and may request specific or comforting meals. We need someone adaptable, positive, and not ego-driven about food.

Kitchen Care

• Wash dishes and cookware used during prep
• Load/unload dishwasher
• Clean counters, stovetop, and prep areas
• Leave kitchen fully reset and immaculate
• Maintain organized pantry and refrigerator

Ideal Candidate

• Warm, patient, and emotionally steady
• Highly clean and organized
• Comfortable pivoting when plans change
• Skilled in both simple family meals and occasional elevated dinners
• Experienced in grocery shopping and managing kitchen inventory

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience. Hourly or salaried options available.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
