As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing personalized, high-quality care to patients in their homes or designated facilities. What you’ll do

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to individual patient needs, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients with diverse medical conditions.
• Provide specialized treatments such as IV infusion, catheterization, and wound care while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper communication with healthcare providers.
• Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity.

Basic qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and critical care protocols

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation
• Background in geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or long-term care settings
• Proficiency in administering injections, phlebotomy, and managing complex medical equipment such as ventilators
