Private Equity Associate

Hays is partnering with a leading financial institution to hire a Private Equity Associate for their investment team. This is a critical, execution-oriented role that offers exposure to high-impact transactions and portfolio management. The position is based in Dubai with frequent travel to Riyadh, KSA, and there is also the possibility to be based in Riyadh.

Responsibilities:

• Support the full investment lifecycle: deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management.
• Build and maintain complex financial models for valuation, LBO analysis, and scenario planning.
• Conduct industry and company research, prepare investment memos, and assist in structuring transactions.
• Collaborate with senior team members to manage multiple workstreams and ensure timely execution.
• Engage with portfolio companies to monitor performance and identify value creation opportunities.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4–6 years total, including 2–3 years in investment banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance), management consulting, or transaction advisory at a leading firm. Prior private equity experience is a strong plus.
• Language: Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling , valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedents), and LBO analysis .
• Strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles .
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint ; familiarity with CapIQ, PitchBook , or similar databases.
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively to KSA .
