Job Purpose
Manage the bank’s private equity investments by identifying opportunities, executing deals, and monitoring portfolio companies to maximize long-term value creation. The role ensures alignment with the bank’s investment strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite, while supporting growth in alternative investments and diversification of the capital markets portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and execute private equity investment opportunities in targeted sectors.

Conduct due diligence (financial, commercial, legal, ESG) in coordination with external advisors.

Build financial models, valuations, and investment memoranda for presentation to the Investment Committee.

Negotiate deal structures, terms, and agreements with counterparties.

Monitor portfolio companies’ performance, governance, and compliance with shareholder agreements.

Support exit strategies including IPOs, trade sales, or secondary transactions.

Track market trends, regulatory updates, and competitive dynamics in private equity and alternative investments.

Maintain strong relationships with regulators, co-investors, fund managers, and industry stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations, Basel III requirements, and internal governance frameworks.

Prepare periodic portfolio reports, valuations, and risk assessments for senior management and the Board.

Contribute to the bank’s ESG and sustainability agenda in investment decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field
-
7–10 years’ experience in private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance, with deal execution exposure

Experience in banking or relevant industries is preferred.

Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring skills.

Deep knowledge of private equity markets, fund structures, and exit strategies.

Familiarity with CBE regulations, corporate governance codes, and IFRS reporting standards.

Experience in managing cross-border transactions and working with international investors.

Proficiency with financial systems and analytics tools (Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, Excel, Power BI).

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst)

CIMA / CPA / ACCA (for financial analysis depth)

Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
