Job Summary

The PRN Bus Driver at Holy Cross Academy provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students on an as-needed (PRN) basis. This role supports the school’s mission by ensuring student safety while transporting to and from school events, field trips, and activities in a manner consistent with a positive and faith-centered environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport students to and from school-related activities, including field trips, athletic events, and extracurricular programs
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Archdiocesan transportation guidelines
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions
  • Maintain order and appropriate student behavior while on the bus
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding schedules, routes, and any transportation concerns
  • Ensure accurate attendance and student accountability during transport
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly according to school procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle
  • Provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all students

Job Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements required
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet all Archdiocesan and state driving requirements
  • Previous experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle preferred
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and safe environment requirements
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible, as-needed hours
  • Commitment to supporting a Catholic, faith-based school environment
