Job Title: Public Relations Officer (PRO)
Reports to: HR Manager
Company: Ramah General Contracting & Transport L.L.C.

UAE laws, regulations, and procedures related to visas, labor contracts, trade licenses, and other official matters. The PRO acts as the official liaison between the company and various government entities, ensuring smooth processing of documentation and protecting the company’s legal standing.

Responsibilities & Duties

Government Relations & Compliance

  • Process applications, renewals, cancellations, and modifications of work permits, labor contracts, and residency visas.
  • Ensure all company documents (trade license, commercial registration, chamber of commerce, establishment cards, etc.) are valid and renewed on time.
  • Maintain compliance with the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization (MOHRE), General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs, and other government authorities.
  • Stay updated on UAE Labor Law, immigration regulations, and government policies to ensure company compliance.

Employee Services

  • Handle employee visa processing, Emirates ID, medical fitness test, health insurance, and other onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate exit permits, visa cancellations, and final settlements for departing employees.
  • Provide support to employees in resolving official documentation issues with government entities.
  • Assist in attestation of documents, certificates, and contracts from relevant ministries and embassies.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records of all government-related transactions and ensure proper filing for audits.
  • Track deadlines and proactively initiate renewals of licenses, permits, and employee documents.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management regarding government transactions and compliance status.
  • Liaise with legal advisors for clarifications on company-related legal matters.

Representation & Liaison

  • Represent the company at government departments, ministries, chambers of commerce, free zones, courts (if required), and embassies.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with government officials to facilitate smooth and efficient services.
  • Act as the company’s spokesperson with official authorities when necessary.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification or training in UAE labor law, immigration, or government relations is an advantage.

Work Experience & Skills

  • 0–5 years of proven experience as a PRO in the UAE, preferably in contracting or construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor Law, immigration rules, and government procedures.
  • Strong networking skills with established contacts in government departments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
