We are a small full-service estate planning/probate law firm specializing in serving families with loved ones with disabilities. We are seeking an experienced paralegal that is interested in a long-term career opportunity. Our practice is unique and rewarding! We are looking for that perfect candidate to add to our amazing team.

Major responsibilities include:

• Providing support to attorneys
• Preparing estate planning documents. (WealthDocs knowledge a plus.)
• Preparing, processing & filing probate court documents
• Preparing and filing documents with recorder's office
• Maintaining client database
• Maintaining legal calendar
• Email & telephone correspondence with clients
• Copying, scanning, & filing documents
• Answering phones and greeting clients
• Assist with workshops and resource/vendor fairs

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification
• 4+ years paralegal/legal assistant experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; ability to learn new programs as needed
• Self-motivated, flexible, with exceptional follow-through skills
• Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm
• Experience/familiarity with the special needs community a plus
• Experience probate work a plus
• Notary public license a plus
