Process Engineer

Purpose

The Process Engineer will oversee the production process by assessing and conducting tests needed to make modifications for process improvements in the manufacturing setting.

Essential Functions:

· Review data to design, test, and implement new production processes

· Continuing education in all foundry related areas

· Ensure efficient function on production lines

· Launch new products – focus on analyzing cost / efficiency throughout

· Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth integration of new processes

· Create, revise, and maintain details process documentation for training and compliance purposes

· Identify trends and propose solutions for process improvement

· Other duties, as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques

· Robust problem-solving skills

· Exceptional analytic skills and attention to detail

· Effective communication

· 2D & 3D CAD modeling

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience

· Experience in process engineering role in manufacturing setting

· Experience with statistics and process engineering

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in foundry setting

· Proficiency in Microsoft office

· Hands on experience with 2D & 3D CAD tools

· Foundry tooling knowledge (preferred, not required)

· Machining experience (preferred, not required)

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time

· Ability to lift 35+ pounds

· Ability to work in high heat environment (non-temperature controlled)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
