The Process Engineer is responsible for providing direct support in the introduction of new processes, process changes, and optimizations related to specific areas of production. This includes planning, installation, and validation of new products into technologies, maintaining engineering standards for the equipment, and supporting production to validate the process is capable to meet the requirements and targets.

Core Responsibilities

Area technical expert in manufacturing packaging processes and machinery for area of process ownership.

Local platform driver for machinery standardization.

Drive continues improvement projects for process and support area continuous improvement projects.

Implements new products, platforms, and Projects implementation core activities.

Validates new platforms and process definition according project model standard.
-
Follow-up Machine safety risk assessments considering local global methodologies.

Production support – tackle issues concerning process efficiency, acceptance and following of standards, and general topics.

Leads the engineering and technical initiatives to solve the opportunities in safety, quality, delivery, and cost areas.

Develop PFMEAs and Control Plans for process.

Develop procedures and visual aids.

Lead the implementation of engineering changes and support installation of equipment.

Contact with suppliers and contractors for process related support.

Develop and update reports and metrics related to process performance.

Mapping and standardization of the critical parameters of equipment.

Multi-functional and cross-site collaboration.

Drives safety risk reduction initiatives and ergonomic improvements from technical aspect.

Close collaboration with R&D department for the development of new technologies.

The NPI and Engineering department exists to be the liaison bridge between
Development and Packing Production for successful introduction and
sustainment of new technologies, products, and processes. We set and
maintain the pace, standard, and tone for introductions of products and
technologies to the production area. By collaborating with Production
departments, we strive to achieve and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Do you have what it takes?

Proven experience working as a Process Engineer or similar position in a manufacturing environment.

Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
-
Strong fundamental problem-solving skills with proven track record to detect root-cause.

Knowledge of ISO9001.
-
Experience with PFMEA and Control Plan development and management.
-
Mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, automation, and electrical knowledge and application of knowledge to machine design.

Basic understanding of machine automation control systems and robotics.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Minitab.
-
Demonstrated ability to operate 2D and 3D software.

Experience leading product recipes and setup of new products on equipment.

Ability to set and maintain standards for a production line. Must be able to describe a process and detail it accordingly to connect with production personnel.

Communication skills – communicate technical issues up and down the organization.

Packing and Packaging equipment experience (Box forming, closing, counting machines, sorting machines, and bagging equipment) is preferred.

Experience in the Toy Industry is a plus.

Prefer experience working with SAP.
Additional
Travel International travel will be required for this position (25%).
Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $81,810.00 - $122,716.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
