Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will drive process optimization, enhance production efficiency, and ensure quality standards are consistently met. Your expertise will help streamline operations, implement new technologies, and support our commitment to manufacturing excellence.
Duties
- Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective production processes.
- Analyze current processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Lead R&D activities in cooperation with Engineering to identify and incorporate new and emerging technologies into the existing product portfolio.
- Oversee product testing, analyze rejects, and propose corrective actions.
- Supervise personnel to ensure required productivity, quality and safety.
- Coordinate part drawings required by production and generate specifications for in-house orders.
- Provide Technical service and assistance to the sales and maintenance departments.
- Develop specification database, including specification information.
- Understand and help maintain the requirements of our ISO 9001 certification, including coordination of non-conformance program.
- Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
- Appraise employee performance, develop employee cross training, and employee development efforts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities.
- Facilities maintenance, including continuous improvement initiatives to drive cultural change.
- Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions across production lines.
- Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and fabrication setups for production, processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on factory layout planning, schematics interpretation, and industrial engineering projects to maximize productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, along with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issue
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operation, factory automation (including robot integration), and schematic interpretation.
- Strong project scheduling skills combined with expertise in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing.
