BAE Systems is looking for a Process Engineer to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at their Nashua, New Hampshire facility. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and being able to adapt to a rapidly changing production environment brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of production goals and achieving operational excellence. In this role, the process engineer will be responsible for providing sustaining engineering, process engineering, process development, PPV/FAI, and new process implementation (including prototypes) for the Electronic Microwave Factories through hands-on problem solving, data analyses, Six Sigma tools and LEAN manufacturing principles to improve assembly processes, product flow and product yields.
Responsibilities may include:

Process engineering support on current production programs and supports overall manufacturing execution to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.

Proactively identifies process improvements, and engages with factory and program teams to implement process changes and continuous improvement initiatives for achieving operational excellence.

Defines and specifies the requirement for assembly tooling, fixtures and equipment to support current manufacturing operations and recommends changes for production ramp-ups.

Help maintain Audit and Production readiness of the factory
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years work experience or 10+ years of work experience in lieu of degree

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and root cause resolution

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Effectively communicate status on technical aspects of manufacturing in program production meetings

Familiarity with manufacturing equipment: Manual Wire Bonders, Bond-Pull/Die Shear, Automated measurement systems, X-Ray machines, Solder Reflow Chambers (SRO), manual and auto Pick and Place machines, and/or Wafer Dicing Saws

Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive measurable improvement

Knowledge of Wafers and MMIC processing

Dispositioning and further processing of materials at PMRB (rework, repair, regrade, reject, or return to the vendor, no defect found)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
