Engineering Lead (React + DevOps) — On-site, Ahmedabad

We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Lead to take end-to-end ownership of our web products, guide a small developer team, and run DevOps/CI/CD for reliable, fast releases. You’ll spend most of your time in React, review/guide PHP/Laravel work, and be accountable for performance, uptime, and delivery quality. This is on-site in Ahmedabad.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the web/dev team: sprint planning, code reviews, release management.
• Architect and build high-quality React apps (hooks, routing, state, performance).
• Guide Laravel/PHP developers on API design, queues/jobs, caching, DB schema.
• Own DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Nginx, GitHub/GitLab pipelines, versioning, rollbacks.
• Set up monitoring & logging (Sentry, ELK/Grafana) and drive incident response (MTTR).
• Ensure security basics (OWASP, RBAC, secret management, audit trails).
• Translate product goals into technical roadmaps with clear milestones and estimates.
• Collaborate with founders/PMs; communicate trade-offs and ship on schedule.

Must-have Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of software development; 2–3+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• React mastery: performance profiling, accessibility, testing (Jest/RTL), Vite/Webpack.
• Laravel (working knowledge): REST APIs, migrations, jobs/queues, caching.
• DevOps: Docker, Nginx, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab), basic blue/green or canary.
• SQL design & performance (indexes, query plans), Redis, solid debugging skills.
• Strong ownership, clear communication, and product mindset.

Nice to Have

• FastAPI/Python or Node.js utilities; Flutter exposure.
• AWS/GCP basics (EC2/Lightsail, S3, RDS/Cloud SQL).
• Healthcare/EMR experience (ABDM/NDHM/NABH familiarity is a plus).

How we measure success (outcomes)

• Weekly production releases within 60 days.
• Median PR cycle time ≤ 24–36 hours; hotfix rate < 2%.
• MTTR for critical incidents < 2 hours; error rates trending down.
• Core Web Vitals passing; Lighthouse performance ≥ 85 on key pages.
