Job Title: Process Exhaust Specialist
Location: Jagiroad, Assam
Reporting To: Facilities Engineering Manager / Project Head

Job Summary:
The Process Exhaust Specialist is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of process exhaust systems in a high-tech OSAT facility. This role requires deep expertise in handling exhaust systems for cleanrooms, chemical processes, and semiconductor-grade equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Engineering:
• Review and validate process exhaust system designs including duct routing, scrubbers, blowers, and filtration units.
• Ensure compatibility with semiconductor process tools and cleanroom requirements.
• Coordinate with tool vendors and process engineers for exhaust load calculations and interface requirements.
2. Installation & Commissioning:
• Supervise installation of exhaust systems including chemical, acid, solvent, and general exhaust lines.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks, airflow balancing, and system integrity testing.
• Ensure proper integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) and safety interlocks.
3. Operations & Maintenance:
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and SOPs for exhaust systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to airflow, pressure drops, and contamination.
• Ensure uptime and reliability of exhaust systems supporting critical process tools.
4. Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, fire safety codes, and semiconductor industry standards.
• Implement exhaust monitoring systems and emergency shut-off protocols.
• Support audits and inspections by internal teams and external agencies.
5. Coordination & Documentation:
• Interface with HVAC, electrical, and process utility teams for coordinated execution.
• Maintain detailed documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and maintenance logs.
• Prepare technical reports and updates for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / chemical / industrial engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process exhaust systems, preferably in semiconductor or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong understanding of cleanroom protocols, chemical handling, and exhaust system design.
• Familiarity with international standards (SEMI, ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, airflow simulation tools, and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, and team coordination skills.
