Process & Tool Engineering Leader

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of the financial and technological goals through the Annual Operating Planning and Structured Requirements Analysis Planning processes
• Identifies and develops process innovations and new machines to support the site's vision and long-term direction
• Designs and executes plans, while leveraging the latest approaches and achieving organizational short, mid, and long term goals; regularly reviewing performance and initiating corrective actions, as needed
• Applies technical expertise to develop existing and introduce new processes & machines
• Researches new technologies and technological trends to improve process and commercial performance
• Ensures manufacturing capabilities, product and material application, and tool design standards are considered with respect to the implementation process
• Coordinates and monitors the fulfillment of all legal and internal requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment
• Leads by example and line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while developing employees, driving Talent Acquisition and Management processes, and fostering a proactive work culture
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of Industry-relevant experience
• Team management experience is a plus, but not mandatory
• Professional-Level English language skills preferred
• Master’s degree is optional
• Key Technical Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing lines
• Experience in machine design, production, and commissioning
• Strong knowledgeable in machine dynamics, handling systems, and conveyor design → Able to ensure synchronized operation of multi-station machines
• Proficiency in electrical schematics and selection of switchgear components
• Skilled in fault detection and troubleshooting
• Familiar with PLC, IoT, and communication systems
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
• Basic knowledge of robotics and commissioning
• Understanding of camera control systems
• Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while serving as a sparring partner to internal/external stakeholders. Fosters teamwork between employees and across the organization.
