This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.


The Seats Operations and Dock to Delivery team is looking for supply chain leaders to support our Airplane delivery targets. This team proactively identifies and mitigates risks associated with transportation, installation, storage and rework of seats. The fast-paced nature of the airplane delivery environment requires rapid decision making, clear communication, and the ability to continuously inquire for solutions without compromising quality and safety standards.


The statement of work includes standard Procurement and Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, project management and additional duties as assigned.

This person will be a Boeing leader to our suppliers—interfacing both externally and internally with our factories, Engineering, Quality and many other stakeholders, domestically and internationally.

In addition, this individual will regularly contribute to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards; ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives and will perform work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
  • Interacts and manages a globally dispersed supply base
  • Tracks and manages seat production schedules (seat installation, certification, customer activities) to meet key airplane milestones
  • Places purchase orders in SAP/ERP, and manage PO adherence requirements
  • Regularly reports out on metrics suite, and status to Seats and Airplane Program leadership
  • Consults with cross-functional stakeholders to track, manage and resolve key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Gather data and publish reports related to tracking and managing organizational performance
  • Proactively problem-solve and implement process improvements


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working with any industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications & Products)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • 1+ years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment
  • Willing to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hours


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience interfacing with different level of leadership
  • 1+ years of experience working with suppliers
  • 1+ years of experience with participating in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • 1+ years of experience in a role where you had to make decisions with incomplete information and were able to push forward to arrive at a solution
