Responsible for managing rates in transportation management systems (TMS) for managed transportation customers and have general knowledge of TMS system to be able to help solve problems to meet the needs of operations and customers.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review/audit requests for any abnormalities, proactively research to determine how to resolve issues prior to updating the TMS. Enter the rates into the test and production TMS with with high level of accuracy and complete the end-to-end testing process. Resource for OTM Systems ingration team when adding new types or ways to configure rates for accounts.
- Manage and prioritize rate requests that are sent to Logistics Pricing to be uploaded using various methods (manual, CSV, and upload template), expired, and/or modified in the TMS. Provide the highest level of customer service by answering inquiries that are sent to the Logistics Pricing. Manage escalated rating issues, assist with special projects and support new customer integrations.
- Interpret and understand tariffs and contract applications for various modes of transportation, including LTL, TL, Intermodal, Ocean, Air, and Small Package.
- Assist with organizing and filing emails/documents to ensure other team members can access the information.
- Assist with reports and ad hoc reporting for managed transportation accounts.
- Responsible for the development of standard operating procedures to formalize processes and standards for Rate Entry. Work with team members to make necessary improvements and implement best practices. Responsible for training new team members.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements:
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Course(s) of Study: Courses in math, finance, accounting, logistics, transportation, business, or other related field or experience in transportation, financial analysis.
Experience: 3 - 5 years
