Overview:
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the procurement process by analyzing data and evaluating suppliers to ensure effective purchasing decisions. This role involves optimizing purchasing strategies and maintaining supplier relationships to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis:
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement metrics and performance.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery time.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to maximize value.
  • Cost Management:
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve them.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Recommend and implement improvements to procurement processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with suppliers and procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related area is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
