Procurement and Planning Manager (Manufacturing / Industrial)

Procurement and Planning manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement and production planning activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role involves managing team of buyers and planner, coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, forecasting material requirements, and ensuring alignment between purchasing and production schedules.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable supply of materials as per standards
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers on best in the market price, quality, and delivery terms
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve any supply issues promptly
  • Develop and manage production and material plans based on sales forecasts and inventory targets
  • Coordinate with production, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability
  • Analyze demand and supply trends and adjust plans accordingly
  • Lead and mentor a team of buyers and planner
  • Generate and present regular reports on procurement KPIs, material planning, and cost savings


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Certification such as CPM, CSCP, or APICS is a plus
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement. Having similar role and managing team(s)
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors, preferably in Saudi market
  • Bilingual - English & Arabic
