As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a Procurement and Shipping Leader to support project execution by ensuring materials are sourced, delivered, and shipped efficiently.

Position Summary
The Procurement and Shipping Leader is responsible for supporting purchasing activities and coordinating inbound and outbound shipping operations. This role ensures materials are sourced competitively, delivered on schedule, and shipped accurately to meet operational and customer requirements.
Working closely with vendors, logistics providers, and internal teams, this position plays a key role in maintaining reliable supply chain operations, controlling costs, and supporting project schedules. The role reports directly to the Controller and provides divisions with regular updates on lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
    Source and procure materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company policies and operational needs.
    Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
    Create and process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
    Manage the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process with vendors.
    Monitor order status and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including preparation of shipping documentation.
    Schedule freight pickups with carriers and ensure shipments meet required timelines.
    Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies.
    Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory control activities.
    Verify packing slips, invoices, and shipping documents for accuracy.
    Work with accounting to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation.
    Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable shipping or trade regulations.
    Maintain organized procurement and shipping documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
    Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline logistics processes.

Qualifications
    2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.
    Familiarity with shipping carriers, freight coordination, and shipping documentation.
    HazMat certification or willingness to become certified.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
    Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    Effective communication and vendor negotiation skills.
    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
    Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.

Work Environment
    Office and warehouse environment with occasional interaction with shipping/receiving areas.
