Procurement Associate

Note: The candidate for this position will be hired on a Third party (HRSG) contract

Location: Karachi, (PK)

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in procurement planning, strategic sourcing, and annual budgeting.

· Develop and implement category strategies with aggressive targets aligned with strategic sourcing and business requirements

· Identify, assess, and shortlist vendors in line with the vendor management framework for entity-wide services.

· Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms and ensure compliance with organizational goals.

· Work cross functionally with other departments & liaise between all parties involved.

· Monitor external trends and factors influencing category strategies.

· Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to standardize contracts and agreements across the procurement portfolio.

· To build operation efficiency in new and existing projects & processes in partnership with Key Stakeholder heads.

· Continuously assess and improve current procurement processes to ensure best practices.

· Capability to focus on developing authentic relationships via partnering on joint projects.

· Explore new ideas and innovation to bring efficiencies in existing as well as un-tapped portfolios.

· Develop and maintain strong, authentic relationships with key stakeholders through active collaboration on joint projects.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.

· 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on business services.

Competencies:

· Proven track record in supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

· Strong knowledge of procurement tools, vendor management systems, and contract management software.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.

· Knowledge of SAP MM and Ariba
