Procurement Associate

Position Overview:

Orthos Liquid Systems, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Associate to support purchasing and supply chain activities for our municipal and industrial water treatment equipment projects. This role will work closely with engineering, project management, fabrication, and accounting to ensure materials and components are procured accurately and on schedule.This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in procurement within a project-based manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with issuing purchase orders for materials, components, and services related to Orthos filtration and underdrain systems
• Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on lead times, deliveries, and backorders
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to confirm material specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor pricing, and procurement documentation
• Support inventory management for commonly used components and consumables
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and assist with resolving discrepancies with accounting
• Request and track supplier quotes (RFQs) and support vendor evaluations
• Communicate professionally with domestic and international suppliers
• Support compliance with project requirements, including Buy American / AIS documentation when required
• Assist with general administrative tasks related to purchasing and supply chain activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external vendors
• Willingness to learn technical products and project-based workflows
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred (but Not Required)

• Internship or co-op experience in procurement, manufacturing, or construction-related industries
• Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems
• Basic understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, or engineered equipment
• Exposure to municipal infrastructure or water/wastewater projects
