About the Role

We are seeking a talented and commercially driven Category Manager with experience in real estate construction or hospitality procurement. This individual will play a critical role in shaping category strategies, optimising supplier relationships and delivering measurable business value.

You will manage both strategic and operational procurement activities, from defining long-term sourcing roadmaps to executing day-to-day purchasing with precision. The ideal candidate combines s trategic foresight, negotiation excellence, and strong stakeholder management, capable of thinking beyond transactional procurement to deliver true strategic impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with corporate and operational goals
• Lead high-value negotiations and contract discussions to drive cost savings and supplier performance
• Build and maintain a robust supplier network, fostering partnerships that deliver innovation, quality, and commercial advantage
• Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, from sourcing to contract execution and supplier management
• Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to forecast needs, manage risks, and deliver procurement excellence
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and process efficiency
• Support the broader procurement transformation agenda by embedding best practices and commercial discipline

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Category Manager within real estate construction or hospitality sectors
• Strong background in procurement negotiations, supplier management, and contract administration
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing long-term category planning with hands-on execution
• Commercially astute, analytical, and confident in managing multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner across functions and seniority levels
• Experience with Jaggaer or similar e-procurement systems is advantageous but not essential
