About the Role
Nutra19 is a growing nutraceutical manufacturer seeking a Procurement & Costing Specialist with established vendor relationships in the nutraceutical industry and hands-on experience costing both tincture and softgel formulations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate product costs, reliable supply, and scalable procurement systems as we expand production.
This is a hands-on role working closely with Production, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain in a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source raw materials, packaging, and supplies from established nutraceutical vendors
- Leverage existing vendor relationships to obtain competitive pricing and reliable lead times
- Request, evaluate, and compare quotes for ingredients and packaging
- Build and maintain accurate assembly and formulation costing for tinctures and softgels
- Develop and maintain BOMs, labor assumptions, and overhead allocations
- Maintain supplier specifications, COAs, and documentation for GMP compliance
- Collaborate with Quality and R&D to qualify new suppliers and materials
- Set up and maintain SKUs, items, and cost structures in QuickBooks Enterprise
- Support audits by providing procurement and supplier documentation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing strategies
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in nutraceutical procurement or supply chain
- Established relationships with nutraceutical ingredient and packaging vendors
- Hands-on experience costing both tincture and softgel products
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting scale-up or new product launches
- Familiarity with contract manufacturers and private-label sourcing
- Experience preparing costing for pricing, margin analysis, and forecasting
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory documentation
