Procurement Director

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Director to lead and transform our procurement function across large-scale projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep roots in the KSA market and the ability to drive procurement excellence across a complex, multi-entity organization.

The ideal candidate brings a powerful blend of engineering acumen, commercial expertise, and executive-level leadership to build supplier ecosystems, drive cost efficiency, and ensure project delivery at the highest standard.

Key requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience: In procurement, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles.
• Engineering background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• KSA local market knowledge: Deep understanding of local suppliers, regulations, and market dynamics across the Kingdom.
• Holding / contracting experience: Must have held procurement leadership roles within holding groups or major contracting firms in KSA.
• Large-scale project procurement: Demonstrated experience managing procurement for mega or giga projects in the region.
• Strong leadership skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing cross-functional procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end procurement strategy for large-scale construction and contracting projects across KSA
• Develop and manage a high-performing procurement team, instilling a culture of accountability and excellence
• Build and maintain a robust supplier and vendor ecosystem with deep KSA market relationships
• Drive competitive tendering, contract negotiations, and commercial terms to optimize value
• Establish procurement governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards
• Partner with project management, finance, and engineering teams to align procurement with project timelines
• Monitor market trends and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate project disruptions
• Oversee procurement reporting, KPIs, and cost analysis for senior management review

Preferred / Advantage

• Hands-on SAP exposure (MM, SRM, or Ariba modules) in a procurement or ERP context
• Professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent)
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English
