Procurement Engineer

• Vendor Identification & Development
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for raw materials, tools, machinery, and consumables
• Maintain an updated vendor database with pricing, lead times, and quality ratings
• Technical Procurement
• Read and understand technical specifications or engineering drawings related to procurement items
• Ensure all sourced materials meet the required quality and technical standards
• Coordinate with the quality and production teams for approvals
• Costing & Negotiation
• Analyze and compare quotations from vendors
• Negotiate for best prices, terms, and delivery timelines
• Ensure procurement within approved cost budgets
• Purchase Order & Delivery Tracking
• Issue purchase orders and follow up with vendors for on-time delivery
• Track material movement and ensure timely inwarding into the system
• Escalate delays or quality issues to relevant teams
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain purchase records, contracts, and supplier communication
• Ensure compliance with GST, E-way bill, and other statutory requirements
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to optimize cost, lead time, and supplier performance
• Participate in audits and drive corrective actions related to procurement
• A minimum CGPA of 7 is required.
• Team Collaboration Experience:

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams, gained through academic assignments or projects. Participation in college festivals will not be considered.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
