Procurement Engineer

Job Title: Procurement Engineer (Fresher)

Location: Doha.
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Job Purpose

To support the procurement team in sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for projects and operations. The role provides fresh graduates with hands-on exposure to procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and sending requests for quotations (RFQs) to suppliers.
• Support in evaluating supplier quotations for price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Maintain updated records of suppliers, purchase orders, and contracts.
• Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, projects, operations, accounts) to understand material/service requirements.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist in negotiating with suppliers under supervision to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Support in preparing procurement reports and documentation for management review.
• Learn and apply best practices in supply chain and procurement management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and adapt quickly to dynamic work environments.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
