Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to identify material requirements.
- Prepare RFQs, obtain competitive quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare comparison sheets.
- Source and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors within the UAE market.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective procurement.
- Issue LPOs (Local Purchase Orders) in accordance with approved quotations and company procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on material deliveries to ensure on-time arrival at project sites.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and storekeepers for material planning and stock levels.
- Ensure all materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain procurement logs, supplier databases, and documentation for audits.
- Assist in preparing procurement budgets and cost forecasts for ongoing projects.
- Resolve supplier issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years UAE experience in procurement within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction material suppliers and market pricing.
- Good understanding of civil engineering materials, specifications, and standards.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
