Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to identify material requirements.
• Prepare RFQs, obtain competitive quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare comparison sheets.
• Source and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors within the UAE market.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective procurement.
• Issue LPOs (Local Purchase Orders) in accordance with approved quotations and company procedures.
• Monitor and follow up on material deliveries to ensure on-time arrival at project sites.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and storekeepers for material planning and stock levels.
• Ensure all materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain procurement logs, supplier databases, and documentation for audits.
• Assist in preparing procurement budgets and cost forecasts for ongoing projects.
• Resolve supplier issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years UAE experience in procurement within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction material suppliers and market pricing.
• Good understanding of civil engineering materials, specifications, and standards.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Strong analytical and multitasking abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
