Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Officer with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE construction industry to manage the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services. The role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and compliance with UAE regulations, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply chain operations for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, contractors, and service providers in line with project requirements.
• Manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with UAE laws, company policies, and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast material and equipment needs.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery issues, and manage claims or disputes.
• Prepare procurement reports and provide updates to management on purchasing status.
• Support tendering processes, including preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, and making recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil/Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the UAE construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier sourcing, and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RERA/DLD requirements, and UAE construction regulations.
• Strong vendor network within the UAE construction and building materials market.
