Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Obtain competitive quotations, analyze proposals, and prepare comparison sheets for management approval.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and project specifications.
2. Technical Evaluation
- Review project drawings, BOQ, and material specifications to determine procurement requirements.
- Verify technical compliance of materials with consultants, engineers, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with the engineering and site teams to ensure correct materials are procured.
3. Negotiation & Cost Control
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Track market prices, availability, and material trends to support budgeting.
4. Supplier Management
- Maintain and update an approved supplier/vendor list.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, price, reliability, and after-sales service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
5. Purchase Order Management
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Subcontract Agreements.
- Follow up on deliveries, ensure adherence to timelines, and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Verify and approve supplier invoices in coordination with Accounts.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete procurement documentation including RFQs, quotations, approvals, and POs.
- Prepare weekly procurement status reports for management and project teams.
- Ensure all materials have necessary certificates, test reports, and approvals.
7. Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to understand material requirements.
- Attend project meetings to provide procurement updates.
- Support technical submittals and material approval processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement, preferably in construction or interior fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
