Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements, technical specifications, budget, and delivery timelines. The role ensures cost efficiency, quality compliance, and reliable supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services as per project and engineering requirements
• Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs
• Evaluate technical and commercial bids and perform cost comparisons
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Coordinate with engineering, site, planning, and finance teams
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and company policies
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries and lead times
• Manage vendor performance and maintain supplier database
• Support cost control, value engineering, and budget optimization
• Prepare procurement reports and documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Industrial)
• 3–10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain
• Experience in construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing preferred
• Strong knowledge of UAE and international supplier markets

Skills & Competencies

• Vendor sourcing and negotiation

• ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics)
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Time management and problem-solving ability
