Procurement Engineer

Job Summary:

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring raw materials, components, hardware, and services required for the manufacturing of steel doors, wooden doors, fire-rated doors, roller shutters, and curtain systems. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality, technical compliance, and coordination with production and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Review production schedules, drawings, and BOQs to identify material requirements.

Source and procure raw materials

Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of supplier quotations.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) with proper documentation and approvals.

Coordinate with production, engineering, and project departments to ensure material availability.

Track material deliveries and ensure timely supply to avoid production delays.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and vendor database.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.

Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Civil Engineering or related field.

0 –5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing (preferably doors, shutters, steel fabrication, or building materials industry).

Strong knowledge of raw materials used in door and shutter manufacturing.
