Procurement Engineer

Job Title: Procurement Engineer (Construction)

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in procurement for building construction projects and be capable of effectively coordinating with main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to ensure procurement schedules are achieved.
• Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify procurement requirements.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with project specifications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and main contractors.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays and quality concerns.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
• Coordinate with the finance department regarding supplier invoices and payments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–7 years of procurement experience in a construction company.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, BOQs, technical specifications, and procurement processes.
• Experience in handling procurement for building construction projects.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP procurement systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• UAE experience is an added advantage.

Preference Will Be Given To:

• Candidates with prior experience working in a construction company.
• Candidates with hands-on experience coordinating and negotiating with main contractors and subcontractors.
• Candidates familiar with UAE construction procurement practices and supplier networks.
• Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
