MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • Procurement of the goods and services required for projects or the company within the required budget, quality and time frame


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate all purchasing requisitions to ensure clarity and completeness in description of material and equipment.
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations to qualified vendors as per approved vendor list.
  • Interview prospective suppliers either face-to-face or over the phone to determine scope, prices, discounts, terms to ensure that target prices, company’s terms and conditions are met.
  • Review the received technical and commercial offers, prepare comparative analysis and coordinate with technical departments that all clarifications are cleared.
  • Prepare purchase orders complying with received PRs and in accordance with selected suppliers, price and technical approval.
  • Follow up with Material control department for material receiving and MRV.
  • Coordinate with project management, finance and cost control to ensure the efficient of procurement process.
  • Communicate/coordinate with the Project Management, Engineering, logistic and Construction teams for product directions, availability, lead times, and cost roadmaps for key materials.
  • Follow up to receive the bank guarantees and prepare the payment according to agreed conditions.
  • Follow and support returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.

  • Maintain the safety standards and comply with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Management System Requirements.
  • Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Follow and maintain company standards of quality in accordance with company quality system requirements.


SOCIAL COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintain the company’s social management system policy by following and reporting any deviated cases against the PSP IMS policy.
  • Take his own responsibility to comply with the social accountability requirements according to the SA8000 standard.
  • Cooperate with the SP team for any further communication to improve and enhance the level of implementation and compliance with the company’s social management system.


REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL QUALIFICATION

Basic Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering field.
  • Understanding of construction industry processes with procurement or contracts experience.
  • +2 years of experience in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors (EPC Mega Projects)
  • Project management experience.
